In the past day's newspapers, we've got stories on LGBT teens putting on a play, Wisconsin Fashion Week rolling into town, a new live show featuring an actor with a 'slight recurring case of homosexuality, and a tattoo parlor owner writing a book about Amazon warriors... but where's the coverage on losing Ginger Martin at WOLX? Or Triple M's Gabby Parsons being demoted from MD/on-air to RECEPTIONIST? Where were the stories documenting the fact that Connie & Fish would soon be misleading listeners into thinking they were still located in Madison? How about the fact that more than 50% of this market's radio has become PIPED IN MONEY SAVING CRAP?
For a town that's home to a state college with a major journalism school, and home to a media college that teaches almost only RADIO... we should be ashamed that the Madison Capital Times and Wisconsin State Journal don't cover the happenings in this industry.
