I disagree, respectfully. Radio has a MUCH larger daily, weekly and monthly circulation than all the Madison print outlets combined - then multiplied by 5.

In Madison (as well as Rockford and Stevens Point where I've worked) it's always been "them" and "us". TV rarely talks radio, newspaper rarely talks TV or radio and radio hardly ever talks about TV or print.

: : In the past day's newspapers, we've got stories on LGBT teens putting on a play, Wisconsin Fashion Week rolling into town, a new live show featuring an actor with a 'slight recurring case of homosexuality, and a tattoo parlor owner writing a book about Amazon warriors... but where's the coverage on losing Ginger Martin at WOLX? Or Triple M's Gabby Parsons being demoted from MD/on-air to RECEPTIONIST? Where were the stories documenting the fact that Connie & Fish would soon be misleading listeners into thinking they were still located in Madison? How about the fact that more than 50% of this market's radio has become PIPED IN MONEY SAVING CRAP?

: : For a town that's home to a state college with a major journalism school, and home to a media college that teaches almost only RADIO... we should be ashamed that the Madison Capital Times and Wisconsin State Journal don't cover the happenings in this industry.

: Because the audience at large doesn't care.

: Sorry.
