You can't compare Madison to Chicago or Milwaukee. Cuprisin IS great in Milwaukee! Love his column for TV/radio. And, he even does some radio interviews on the topics on TV (Idol, etc.). That kind of coverage doesn't happen in markets this size - Madison, Green Bay, Rochester, Rockford, Grand Rapids, etc.

I also offer that The Journal in MKE owns a freaking radio AND a TV station! Same for The Tribune in Chicago.

If proof is offered to the contrary I'd be happy to stand down as wrong.

: : I disagree, respectfully. Radio has a MUCH larger daily, weekly and monthly circulation than all the Madison print outlets combined - then multiplied by 5.

: : In Madison (as well as Rockford and Stevens Point where I've worked) it's always been "them" and "us". TV rarely talks radio, newspaper rarely talks TV or radio and radio hardly ever talks about TV or print.
: :

: Really? That mentality really closed-minded and wreaks of desperation.

: I come from Milwaukee by way of Chicago and in both of my former cities, all media issues were "covered" in the local paper (Robert Feder in Chicago, Tim Cuprisin in Milwaukee).
