Energy 106.9 is a Rhythmic CHR station. Full blown. Very music intensive. None of the rock hits. Focuses on the hip hop and the pop hits. Like WJQM in Madison. That's their niche.

Radio Now is the Mainstream CHR. They balance it out. Play ALL the hits. Mix of rock, pop and hip hop and dance. Chart hits. Top-40.

Kiss FM is the heritage station. They used to be more like Radio Now, but in February 2003 they went to a rhythmic lean. Now they are somewhere in between Energy 106.9 and Radio Now. Mostly hip hop with some rock/alternative hits thrown in.

103.7 has the heritage. Everybody knows what 103.7 KISS FM is and likely has a preset.

Energy has a smaller signal. Those in Milwaukee County who can pick it up probably are listening for the music.

Radio Now likely has more mature listeners who have grown out of the hip hop sound of 103.7 but still want to hear new hits. Those who listen to 103.7 likely go back and forth between 103.7 and 97.3 depending on what's playing. Energy, it depends on where you are and if you can pick it up and if you would rather listen to all rhythmic hits without the rock and pop hits.

All three have their own niche.
