Jon Meerdink just did his first top-of-the-hour news update on the Biggest Stick in the State.

It sounded like he was using a Don Parcher voice emulator. The engineers have apparently decided they're going to attempt to counteract his wacky-sounding last name by giving him a big-time old radio voice.

Another awesome hire by Jon Byman.
