There was a time that 94-5 was a disaster, but I don't believe it is today, and hasn't been for a couple years. The disaster time was really after the honeymoon period when the ratings took a dive. They're back on track now.

What I thought was curious about that article is this: in the beginning, 94-5 targeted men. That failed. I thought, based on their music, that they shifted their focus to Women. However, Danny Clayton, in this article, listed morning shows he admires that target men. Specifically, Bob and Brian and Dave and Carole.

The ones he left out, which I believe are far more instructive, are Jane and CV and Murphy and Meg. The reality is that they have the makings of a morning show to target women primarily, on a station that targets women primarily, and they don't realize it. If anything, this seems like the mistake to me...
