I can't say I disagree with Doug's points. Several are very valid that I never thought about (like the synergy with TMJ-TV's Sports kids). However, the only lingering question is revenue. Does Journal get enough money on 94.5 that it can't get on WTMJ to justify it staying? Furthermore on that point, would an FM clone of WTMJ - with arguably more local true sports content - cannibalize the revenue for WTMJ-AM? I feel The Lake can offer clients who have no interest in talk/sports radio an outlet. Losing that, you lose any chance to appeal to a female demographic in your cluster. Or a younger demographic for that matter. Sports and Talk both skew male (75-80% or more) and heavily over 35 years old.

Still, I'm intrigued by the idea.
