Nice to see all the WMAD grunts chiming in here.
I moved here 7 years ago and Q was my first country radio experience in South Central WI.
I vividly remember Tammy back in her Q days referring to CC as "Radio Satan". I guess the urge was too great. I now know better and spend most of my time with WJVL or WSLD (I live in Eastern Dane County). When I do listen in Madtown I prefer the following.

-Jason and Nicole (still jaded by John and Tammy and Jason was awesome in the afternoons on Q)

-Jennifer Powers

-Kenny J (but just barely, kinda boring)

-Anybody but Brad Austin

-Lia (listened to her for many years on WAXX and then WSLD)

Honorable mention: Mark Van Allen

So yeah I guess I prefer Q. Mainly because I know MWF isn't going to pull the plug after a few crappy quarters. I'd be shocked if Star is still around to celebrate 5 years knowing the history of the 96.3 frequency.

: : A lot of discussion regarding the two country stations in Madison.

: : Let's compare the on-air jocks, shall we (because their music library is quite similar)

: : Mornings - Jason and Nicole VS John and Tammy
: : Middays - Jennifer Powers VS Dan Arthur
: : Afternoons - Kenny Jay VS Tyler Reese
: : Nights - Lia VS Mark Van Allen

: : Take it away folks.

: I don't think anyone has the perfect lineup right now, to be honest with you. Both stations are quite broken. But if I had to choose who wins:

: Mornings - John and Tammy
: Middays - Jennifer Powers
: Afternoons - Kenny Jay
: Nights - Lia (yea, I chose syndication here because WMAD doesn't even have VS Mark Van Allen on their web page so as far as I'm concerned he doesn't work there)
