Gotta love the music selections, though. "London Calling" pre-test, and the unintentionally ironic "Babylon" after the Tower-of-Babel-like EAS message.
Also, I think I may have been a bit overly harsh with the original subject line. The participation in the test seemed to be very good, even if the audio from the test was poor. Looks like in some other markets, the test didn't air at all. And I had wondered whether the EAS alert would air on local HD-2 channels (such as 101.5-HD2, which is finally back on the air, and 104.1-HD2) and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they did indeed air.
It'll be interesting to hear what happened behind the scenes to explain the god-awful audio.
