But I get the O.P.'s point on perceived waste here vs hiring someone live & local on The Mic.

: Even if they did pay a a consultant to do this work and file with the FCC, the money spent is really not as dramatic as your making it out to be. It's most likely in the couple-thousand-dollar range.
