Yeah JamZ isn't so bad and it's good to have a place for hip hop.
But JamZ isn't what I'd consider competition to Z104. It's never going to attract the same demo across the board. Yeah, the younger side will tune in when Z plays a boring Sheryl Crow song in the midday or something, but it will be hard to get the white older women to flip over. Imo.
