: I disagree; Star has sounded great, promotionally and on the air, for quite a while now. It could be because Q sounds so bad, who knows. This couldn't have happened at a better time for Star, since Q is now without a leader (not that I would call him a "leader" to begin with). While Walker scrambles to get a PD and clean up Sebastian's mess, Star just needs to sustain and hire an AM show quickly.
Star is nothing but the typical Clear Channel cookie cutter format in a box station. Sounds horrible. Stream some country stations online in small markets not owned by Clear Channel, Entercom, or Cumulus and you will hear some great local "stationality". I understand you work at Star and take pride in the CC formula.
