: : How many formats and owners has that station had since 1985? I don't think it has ever recovered after the "reign of error" by Jim Coursalle.
: Two owners since 1985:
: Jim Coursolle - 1985 to 1990
: Radio Plus - 1990 - present
: ... and a number of formats:
: Country (WLKE "Lucky 1170" - 1985)
: Rock oldies (WLKE/WLKD "The Lake" 1986 - 1990)
: Standards (WMRH "Marsh Area Radio" & "The Music Of Your Life" 1990 - 2002)
: After that, Radio Plus changed the calls to WFDL-AM, but didn't seem to know what to program on it but it was mostly local news/talk.
: Then "Hit Parade Radio" for a few months this year and now back to "The Music Of Your Life". How long this format lasts until they flip it again is anybody's guess. I would suggest classic country, but C.B. absolutely hates country music.
What the heck is the deal with this station? After "Hit Parade" went dark two weeks ago they reverted back to "The Music Of Your Life" for the past two weeks. Then yesterday between about 4pm and 5:30 pm they are broadcasting programming from classic rocker 99.1 KXLG out of Watertown South Dakota for some reason. Then after 5:30 pm it was back with TMOYL until they signed off.
Now today I had them on after 4 pm and the are airing classic rock from KXLG again and after 6 pm the previous two hours is repeated between 6 pm to 8 pm. Then at 8 pm in the middle of Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" their legal ID cuts in and it's right back to TMOYL. What the hell?
