I guess there is more to the previous rumor of Good Karma going after the flagship rights to Wisconsin Sports from Clear Channel's WIBA. Us in the Milwaukee area all know of Clear Channel's influence recently but apparently a bidding war has started between Clear Channel and Good Karma for the broadcast rights. The center of the storm, WTMJ and Journal Broadcasting likely opting out after the current deal is up in a cost cutting move. So it seems that if Clear Channel wins the contract again the games in Milwaukee will end up either on WISN or on another station? The question has to be how much does the University want a presence inside the Milwaukee Metro area, and is that enough to give the rights of UW to Good Karma? Interesting stuff.
