WISC-TV, Southern Wisconsin�s news leader in Madison, is aggressively searching for a Sports Anchor / Reporter. We�re looking for a dynamic, high energy, engaging talent with the ability to tell the stories behind the scores. Job duties include anchoring 4 weekend sportscasts, shooting, editing, writing, and reporting to produce credible, informative, professional, and entertaining sports stories to attract both the sports addict and the non-sports enthusiast. If you�re interested in covering local sports, the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and UW, then we need to talk.
Qualifications include a B.S. degree in Journalism or related field; 3 years� experience in television sports including on-air anchoring and reporting; knowledge of journalistic standards as they relate to on-air presentation of sports stories; broad knowledge of sporting events with enthusiasm to share this with viewers; eagerness to get involved in the community; accurate and comprehensive writing skills; and ability to bring about non-traditional approaches.
