The Events Assistant reports directly to the Events Coordinator. They will assist in all aspects of event planning, management and execution with major station events or events that include all stations. This is a seasonal full time position running May 1 � September 30. Due to the nature of this department and the station events it handles it is not your typical 8-5 position. There will be many night and weekend hours in addition to the normal work week schedule. The Events Assistant will assist all aspects of the department, including but not limited to tracking of sponsorships, meeting with programming to plan events, on site execution of events, and working with the sales staff on client recaps. Along with assisting in the Events Department, job duties may include helping the sales staff, assisting programming at appearances, and covering hours at the front desk answering phones and handing out prizes.

Qualifications and How to Apply: The Events Assistant will provide the following specific duties: Organization & Implementation: � Track sponsorships of events, organize on air mentions, and coordinate wrap ups for sales and programming. All recaps must include pictures of the events, print outs of web and email mentions (where applicable) and printed affidavits of on air mentions through programming and traffic. � Organize on site execution for sponsors and clients � collecting banners, handing out tickets and passes, etc. � Coordinate MWF staffing for internal projects and on site events � set up, clean up, etc. � Assist in on site execution of all events where the Events Department is involved. This includes set up, day of and clean up of all events. � Design and completion of tickets, passes, posters and promotional material when needed for events. � Miscellaneous duties associated with event implementation. � Assisting the Programming staff with station appearances when needed. � Creating ideas and sales sheets with sales staff for potential event sponsors. � When needed, assisting in filling hours at the front desk answering phones and handing out prizes to winners.
