It's not just Prebil and Murphy (and Al Malmberg) that are being dropped: KSTP-AM is transitioning towards all-sports, affiliating with ESPN Radio come springtime. That station really set the template for topical talk in the 80s and 90s in the Cities, but when CC moved Limbaugh and Hannity from KSTP to their own talk station 4 or 5 years ago, they went downhill from there. Throw in the fact that the Twin Cities is now a PPM market, and, well....
KSTP's biggest asset right now is the Twins, and that contract is up after this season.
