So, other than the 40 total people who have hd radios (engineers, station managers, and program directors) who cares? It isn't 4 times the power anyway, It goes from 20db down less than the the peak of the carrier freq to 14 db. And... all the radio stations have to buy new transmitters that they just put in because none of these rigs made by Harris or Broadcast Electronics will make that kind of power... Better yet, while you're at it put on prgramming that people will listen to instead of a juke box or simulcast of the AM...

: 'The FCC Media Bureau has adopted new rules allowing stations to increase their HD Radio levels by four-times their current output. In some cases, stations could get an even larger boost. The power hike had been sought by broadcasters who complained their HD Radio signals didn't cover as much ground as their analog stations.'
