: Can someone confirm the permanent new line up on 92.1 and explain how Ron Reagan is still sending down shows if Air America is dead?

: Thanks.

RR's last show was yesterday. He was still using Air America as a vehicle and hasn't been able to find a new syndicator as of yet. 92.1 released this today about its new line up:

"UPDATE: Tuesday January 26, 2010 - 7:30am

RON REAGAN CALLS IT QUITS

NEW SHOW STARTS TONIGHT: NORMAN GOLDMAN 11PM -2AM

RING OF FIRE continues at it's same time: SATURDAYS 2pm-5pm

The darlings of duelling dichotomies: FREETHOUGHT RADIO and STATE OF BELIEF also to continue - same time, same channel

You may have heard the news that Air America has filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. As of January 25th they will cease operations. The MIC 92.1 is saddened by this news and regrets the closing of the Air America radio network.

As one of their first and most successful affiliates, we have always shared a special bond with the staff and management, and wish them well in their future endeavors.

I want to assure our listeners that the future of the MIC 92.1 is secure as Madison's Progressive Talk Radio.

The majority of our weekday on air lineup will not change, starting with Bill Press at 5am, Stephanie Miller/8am, Ed Schultz/11am, Thom Hartmann/2pm - all provided by Dial Global Radio.

Randi Rhodes (Premiere Radio) and Mike Malloy (Dial Global) will also continue their shows with no interruption, however their broadcast times will shift - with Randi airing 5pm-8pm and Mike moving back to his orignal 8pm-11pm time slot.

I am sorry to report that Ron Reagan has decided not to continue his show so the MIC will replace him with the Norman Goldman Show, new to the MIC airing 11pm to 2am.

Unfortunately, the Rachel Maddow show will no longer be available.

We will continue to provide Madison a truly progressive voice along with wonderfully local programming like Matt Rothchild and The Progressive Radio Show, "Books and Beats" with Stu Levitan (Sunday/10am) and the newly added lifestyle weekend program "The Kathleen Show" (Sundays/12noon).

Thank you for your continued support of the MIC 92.1

Please patronize and thank our advertisers for their support as well.

Mike Ferris, FM Operations Manager"
