MADISON, WI

Clark Hogan died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born on Aug. 12, 1924, in St. Paul, Minn. Clark was a loving husband and father who enjoyed sharing his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor with his family and friends. He had a passion for playing golf, listening to music and watching sports. Clark was a World War II veteran of the 20th Armored Division, serving from 1942-1946, and he attended the University of Michigan. Clark spent many memorable years as an on-air personality for WKOW TV and radio station as well as WIBA, WERU and WMAD. He was a notable speaker and master of ceremonies for numerous Madison athletic and civic functions and he was an avid Packers fan. Clark is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary; his children, Polly (Ken Abe) of San Mateo, Calif., Sally Hogan (Greg Vallee) of Middleton, Buffy of Madison, Andy (Fran) of Machesney Park, Ill., and Pat (Jaynell) of McFarland; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his sister, Patty Parkhurst of Tallahassee, Fla.; and his brother, Scott (Ginny) of White Bear Lake, Minn. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott; his parents, Helena and Howard Hogan; and his sister, Sally Hogan. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at ST. ANDREWS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 1833 Regent St., Madison, with Father Andy Jones officiating. The family would like to express its sincere and affectionate appreciation for the care given to Clark by the incredible staff at the HospiceCare Center. Clark's family also wishes to thank Lori Lins for her loving devotion to him, and Carrie and Dave Marson and Marilyn and Terry Huxtable for being the "best darn neighbors we could ask for!" In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center.
