I don't think Mid-West gives WTDY the resources it needs to really va-va-voom itself into a consistently solid sounding and inviting radio station. It has tried so many different brands of itself - even toying with Stephanie Miller and Ed Schulz before Mic signed on.
WXXM's signon really didn't help because The Mic is a well-defined progressive talk station. I couldn't tell you what WTDY is. Again it all goes back to the branding and the resources.
