I worked for him. I saw him take a spectacularly successful radio station straight into the toilet. I've never seen the bottom come out of a station so quickly in my life, so my point of view about him is defined by that experience. I've also seen him take a station in the toilet to the top. WSM and Q106 are not good examples of "worst to first" in his career. He DOES have a big ego, but he does care about the team and staff, not just himself.
: But those are just pesky details. Ask anyone in Nashville how WSM-FM turned out. It's laughable. It might have been "worst to first" but it certainly wasn't in any key demo. I don't think Women 45-64 counts.
