From what I understand yes. For a while, up until the 90's sometime, they were both still operated out of the WKOW building on Tokay Blvd. They were bought by AM-FM, then CapStar, then Clear Channel, not necessarily in that exact order.

Now the two stations, and four others reside on the south side in Fitchburg in an old run down building that has been in use for over 50 years.

: : Z104 went on the air in either 1974 or 1975 depending on who you ask. It was originally owned by WKOW, the same people who owned WKOW-AM, which is now 1070 AM WTSO.

: : Intially the station aired an automated CHR format. (Interesting how things are coming full circle right?)
