Veteran Central Wisconsin Broadcaster Arnie Strope passed away Saturday November 14th, he was 87. Arnie started at WFHR in 1941, spending his entire career at the station ( a rarity in this day and age), retiring in 1987. Best known for hosting the morning "Kaffee Klatsch" program for many years, he also served as producer/engineer for Wisconsin Badger Football broadcasts for many years with the Wisconsin Network. Inducted into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1992. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11, at St Phillips Catholic Church, Rudolph, Visitation will be held from 4-8pm at the Ritchay Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids.
