Though you're probably right about them staying put (though why not turn in the CP?) it is absolutely something that needs to be done whether or not they're staying - technically as soon as you figure out that the coordinates are wrong. It's something that would get you an NAL if caught in an inspection.
It's not uncommon to have incorrect coordinates especially if the license or tower reg is old but the FCC really wants you to verify that they're correct.
