Correct. This was not WJQM's show. They were merely the promotional vehicle. The show belonged to a company called Global Music Inc that is based out of Chicago. I'm sure radio station management will be contacting the news paper to print a retraction. Katjusa is an elitist anyway. Unless something is being put on by WORT or any of the artsy fartsy downtown organizations, she won't report on it. Let's not forget that WJQM has drawn record numbers two years in a row at the Dane County Fair (no sign of Katjusa at this event or any mention of it in the paper), their annual concert has gone off without a hitch two years in a row, Taste of Madison for them this year was a huge success and most everything else they've been involved with has been successful. I think it's irresponsible for Katjusa to assume that just because she saw a banner on stage that it was clearly WJQM's event. Katjusa failed to research her story properly and will now be forced to apologize in her own column.

Although the event was a massive failure, it cannot be blamed on WJQM. On a side note, the promoter also ran commercials and ticket giveaways on Z104. So by Katjusa's logic, Z104 should be to blame as well.

: I don't believe JamZ was responsible for the entire production of this show (it wasn't "theirs", they were only promoting it and broadcasting from there).. but for Katja to toss in that paragraph about JamZ is pretty embarassing for the station.
