I thought the problem was on Charter's end, not at Fox 47. Charter was receiving Fox 47's signal, as I was able to watch it just fine in HD on Charter ch. 617. But the standard-def simulcast on ch. 8 was indeed frozen. That to me indicates a problem at Charter's head-end (as does the fact it worked fine OTA and on satellite and Uverse). When I called Charter about the problem they said they had someone at their local head-end working on the problem and that the number of people who had called them about this was in the "upper hundreds." I'm guessing a lot of those folks are looking into alternate providers since their neighbors with satellite or OTA reception had no problem.
