Sad to hear Charlie is retiring, but even sadder to hear that his replacement will be Diane Sawyer. She was a good reporter back in the day, but I think GMA has ruined her for real news. When she's filled-in on World News Tonight, she has been absolutely horrendous -- her "interview" with the CEO of Pepsi about Mountain Dew & appalachia and her appearances on the 2008 election coverage stick out as especially cringeworthy. I watch World News Tonight almost every night, and I like ABC's team of reporters and analysts, but I doubt I'll be able to watch WNT if Diane Sawyer is the anchor.
