I have seen this type of formatic criticism time and time again when Sebastian enters a new market. And people always think it's crazy that he plays some classic rock on a country station too. You wouldn't think any of this would work but it always does, at least for the first book or two until he leaves.
I saw some real mean spirited comments towards Sebastian on here. I thought it was too harsh. There are two things I like about this guy. First, He still has passion for radio after all these decades. Also, I like that the stations he programs have his unique sound. Let's face it in 2009 90% of PDs are basically puppets getting their strings pulled from corporate. If a typical PD leaves, the station will sound similar no matter who their replacement is. That can not be said for John Sebastian.
