I'll admit I watched it as a news story and for the technical aspect as to how the networks executed the broadcast.

I didn't actively search for it on every channel I get on Direct TV, but did find it on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, Headline News, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel. They used a common feed so the networks all carried the broadcast with various delay times. MSNBC was the closest to being live, while HN had the longest delay at 6 seconds. CNBC and Fox Business Channel carried regular programming, but dropped into the live feed just before they went into their commercial breaks.

Audio wise, MSNBC was the only network to carry it in true stereo with excellent left/right channel separation and deep bass. All the rest had the audio in mono and HN was very tinny sounding.
