I have a question for you technology experts. I'm sure there will be some inevitable concerns, such as security, but how far are we away from cable/dish companies going wireless? I would think we shouldn't be that far away from a day where you wouldn't need a dish on the roof and wiring all over the house in order to get programming.
This is a question I've wondered for a while. As a huge sports fan, I regularly will move a couple TVs into the family room on football Saturdays/Sundays to watch a few games at once (leaving wires all over the house...), and the whole temp dish thing for tailgating is a real hassle. Even having one dish on the roof that is wired to one box that would allow the rest of the house to be wireless (but have the 6 or 8 different TV's with different channels on) would be a nice first step.
I know there are some people who understand the business much more than I, maybe some of you may know something!
