what's even more ridiculous is that wizm recently canned their night guy if i remember correctly.. for no other reason than to be "proactive" and try to be prepared for possible future budget cuts. so.. you have no money to pay on-air staff on your primary frequency, but you have cash to run extra hd formats?
: How long will this HD really be around? It is really great if you have it, but there is no demand for it? Is it because listeners really don't care? Have they given up because the people they are told to love and listen to get yanked and never heard from again?
: HD Radio what? There still are stations here in Madison, that aren't even in HD, but still promote HD! I think the HD sub channels are great. I wish they had all 5 or 7 filled! But they don't. So why should people listen to something mediocre? Oh wait, that is just how radio is now.
