For music during the week check out WOLX 949 at http://www.wolx.com and you'll hear lots of music from the late 60's to the early 80's, lots of it from the 70's.
I found this station by accident a few weeks ago as I was trying to find an AT40-70s station I could listen to online. Now I listen every weekend. I enjoy both their Saturday 70s and Sunday 80s programming. Excellent variety of music and lot's of "oh wow" songs, not just the played out songs that have been burned into the ground.
: Most of all I am impressed that they have live jocks all weekend. They even run contests! The personalities keep you company and informed without talking too much. I normally don't pay much attention to imaging, but this station has excellent sweepers for the weekend shows. I love the station voice, he is authoritative yet friendly sounding. WMGN is doing radio the old fashioned way and it sounds great. You will rarely hear radio like this these days, even in markets much larger than Madison.
