The last few years have always brought about "Whaaat?"s from me when I see the list of winners in both these awards and others. The problem is that it's never a fair representation because many stations/managers/talent are so focused on the increasing day-to-day responsibilities of their gigs that they don't have the time or resources to prepare submissions.
: When looking at the list of "winners" I wonder how many stations no longer submit? I have seen too many deserving stations snubbed in favor of "huhs?" Too much splicing and dicing = an untrue version of reality! If the WBA does post the actual entries you will be able to "what the?" for yourself! Granted, some nominees deserve the award, but I have seen too many of the "what?" looks exchanged around the room to take them too seriously. Seriously!
