I'm not sure if this name means anything to anyone here in Madison, but his firing by CC today really chaffed my hide:
Dan Donovan, "The Geezer," an absolute legend in the Twin Cities and who I enjoyed listening to immensely when I lived there (truly entertaining, very self-deprecating, quite the aficionado of real golden rock-and-roll). The Geezer had been working afternoons at KQQL (Kool 108) in the Twins for the greater part of the last two decades until today, when he was among those laid off by CC in the Twin Cities.
Personally speaking... I'm not happy to hear about any of the CC firings today, here in Madison or anywhere else, but their dumping Dan Donovan is the one I really hate hearing about.
