About 3.6 million, or 3.2 percent, U.S. TV households, remain completely unready for the transition to all digital broadcasting that will take place on June 12, Nielsen reported Thursday.

That is an improvement more than 200,000 households in the past two weeks.

Nielsen's readiness data is based on sets and households in its National People Meter panel, which is projectable to U.S. TV households, and its local metered panels, which are projectable to their respective TV household populations.
