On Campus: Students launch Facebook page against new MTV show on University of Wisconsin-Madison

UW-Madison Dean of Students Lori Berquam isn�t the only one disappointed by MTV�s new reality show about UW-Madison students.
Hundreds of students apparently don�t like it either.
About 730 people are members of a Facebook group called �UW-Madison Students Against MTV�s College Life.�
�Contrary to the UW that we all just saw on MTV�s new �reality show� College Life, we Badgers know that �college life� is actually SO much more than drunken hook-ups and freshman drama,� UW-Madison student Sondra Milkie wrote on the Web page.
She writes: �This show neglects the strong Wisconsin tradition of an active and engaged student population and, as nerdy as it sounds, our strong academic credentials. Do we drink? Yes. Do we party? Yes. Do we have fun?! Yes! But that�s not even half the experience.�
University communications released a statement on Monday explaining it�s decision to end any �informal partnership� it had with MTV.
On a separate Facebook page, the show has more than 1,300 �fans."
