Sounds like most radio markets in America.

And sadly, there will never be an all-news format in Milwaukee. It's just too expensive to run. The closest we'll ever get is WTMJ, WUWM and WPR.

Speaking of WPR, they've been trying to get a second Milwaukee signal for years to run classical on. I believe they still have an outstanding bid for at least one opened-up signal in the area.

All in all, I don't ever expect local radio to completely satisfy my tastes. Especially nowadays when I can just take my Android phone, pull up TuneIn, Pandora or whatever, and have enough choices to make my head spin. And yes, that's even in the car. If anything will kill localized radio, it will be the smartphone, especially now since it's easy to listen to in cars.
