NPR- Now Promoting Republicans?

This is one of two reasons I'm having real problems with NPR (and by proxy, WPR/The Ideas Network) lately.

The other is their refusal to be anything but "Minnesota Nice". It's annoying, cloying, and even when they're actually talking about something interesting, their tone and refusal to engage callers to defend their positions makes me want to take a nap.
