Scripps has WTMJ-AM on 94.5 HD-2

Thing is, the "Lets simulcast on FM" was/is a fad. Trying to get younger people to listen. Hasn't really worked all that well.

In the individual cases listed above:

WTAQ Green Bay: Their night signal isn't the greatest. The station itself came on the air at a time Midwest was trying out the simulcast thing. A few have been taken off and replaced with music formats since (Kalamazoo, Terre Haute)

WSAU Wausau: WSAU-FM is a Stevens Point area signal. WSAU-AM has no coverage in Stevens Point at night. They also have sports contracts that often made them have to stop simulcasting the other FM signal they used to simulcast (Now 94.7 WOZZ) Among other things...

WBBM Chicago: The FM simulcast on 105.9 launched about a month after the failed FM News 101.1 launched. They felt threatened. Also, 780 (along with the rest of the AM signals) are basically not existent in the downtown area. High buildings block the AM signals. The 105.9 FM signal covers that. They also have recently been switching the two since they have sports contracts on the AMs. This has since allowed them to see the ratings 105.9 gets on its own without the AM. The AM is still way ahead in the ratings.

WOOD-FM in Muskegon (Simulcasts 1300 WOOD) covers Muskegon. WOOD-AM does not cover Muskegon. The signal is too directional. The 106.9 frequency covers Muskegon with the added benefit with also having coverage in Grand Rapids.
