Well, no, actually. I'm not a huge fan of Fish, and I don't pretend to make excuses for Jamz. Jamz, since it's inception, has had far better execution of the format than Z, especially in promotions. But people know Z and can hear it everywhere.
I won't argue with your other points other than it goes both ways. Give the audience lousy content and they won't listen. That's what is, in part, killing other formats like talk radio. But, like you said, we may be too late on that.
